Oolong Iron Goddess
$4.00 – $7.50
Smooth, buttery oolong.
An Oolong is considered by some to be half-way between a green tea and a black tea. It is partially oxidised before drying, with this variety rolled into lovely little balls that gradually uncurl over a few steepings to reveal the perfect tea leaf.
With a light, almost buttery flavour this oolong is an excellent all day drinking tea.
Steep one to two teaspoons full in a cup of hot water (85 – 90 degrees celsius). This tea is best made in a tea pot as the leaves uncurl significantly and you may not get a good cup via an infuser. Three minutes is normally sufficient.
If you are familiar with the Asian style of tea-making, this is an excellent tea to experiment with in that fashion!
